So, now we know why the President and the Senate killed the F-22 program- no readiness for us.

The F-22 ain't dead yet, but it IS on life support. The House voted funds for additional F-22s and there's the House/Senate Defense Bill reconciliation process to come. I'm not all that hopeful, but I AM mindful of that quote about people who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. This smacks of the early 1930s all over again.
