The Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month....
It was the end of WWI - 1918 - we had fought the War to End All Wars.
At Eleven AM, pause and give a moment to remember
those who fought and those who died.
Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, Poppy Day.

One of my absolute favorite memories of Ol' Blighty is the sight of everyone... and I mean literally EVERYONE... walking around with poppies pinned to their lapels in the week leading up to Remembrance Day. I was most impressed, and remain so to this day.
