Iraq Veteran Running for Congress

The seat in the 37th Congressional District in California is vacant due to the death of Juanita Millernder-McDonald, who lost her battle with cancer in April. The special election for this seat will take place on August 21. One of the candidates is Iraq War Veteran John Kanaley.

I have heard John Kanaley interviewed several times. If I lived in his district, I would be working and voting for him!!

John is a Sergeant in the Long Beach Police Department with 16 years of service. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army with 22 years of service - active, National Guard and Reserves. he has served two tours in Iraq - one of them two years long.

Several of his letters from Iraq have been posted on Victor Davis Hansen's site. For links to these great pieces, go to http://www.kanaleyforcongress.com/ - Notes from Iraq.

Good Luck, John... we will be rooting for your victory! We need your voice in Congress!!!

Thank you so much for that posting. I am truly flattered. I admire your dedication to the pictured military members on your site who sacrificed their lives for our great nation.
Thank you,
John M. Kanaley
