General Peter Pace ~ Farewell to His Soldiers

The first thing I see when I look out my window is my flag of the United States of America blowing in the breeze. Often, I will sit and gaze at the flag - great focus for thinking. These are my musings and ramblings, and, on occasion, rants... I am unapologetic in my support of our military, our country and my devotion to God. I will honor them and pay tribute to them here. Along the side bar you will find tributes to Oregon's fallen warriors.

I was so sorry that General Pace was forced to retire.
He is a man of high honor, well beloved by the troops and a constant, steady voice of reason and strength.
Would it have been worth the fight to re-appoint him? I think so. And in the light of recent positive events in Iraq that would not have been the political minefield it might have been.
But I guess that's hindsight and so the best I can say is THANK YOU GENERAL PACE!
He's an example of the BEST in America.
I couldn't agree with you more.
The President was wrong on this decision. And, General Pace maintained such dignity and class through the entire thing.
