Scholarship Opportunity for OIF/OEF veterans
Although we are "mission-focused" here at Vets for Freedom, we are also on the lookout for programs that support OIF/OEF veterans here at home. This one came across my desk on Friday, and it looks like a great opportunity.
One catch - the deadline is October 15 - so take advantage of it immediately.
Please pass along to anyone you think could benefit from an undergraduate scholarship in 2008.
The Fund for Veterans Education announced it would award up to $1 million in undergraduate scholarships for veterans, including National Guard and Reservists returning from Iraq and Afghanistan for the Spring 2008 term or Fall 2008 term. The awards, which may be renewed for the following academic year, are intended to cover financial need not met by need-based grants and military education benefits. The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 15. For more information, visit http://www.veteransfund.org/.
